Our observance of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, a day of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. At Mass, the imposition of ashes replicates an ancient penitential practice and symbolizes our dependence upon God’s mercy and forgiveness. The Mass schedule for Ash Wednesday is: 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m.
